It’s clear from this video of the new IMOCA 60 Edmond de Rothschild that a new era of offshore sailing is upon us. Foils that add righting moment enabling the boat to nearly fly, combined with canting keels, a couple tons of carbon fiber and a huge-beyond-description rig make a pretty fast and wet boat.
