The Jeanneau 51 is one of the newest builds of the popular Jeanneau lineup and is considered an evolution of the successful Jeanneau 54. The build is now available in the Pacific Northwest, and is worth looking into if you’re in the market for a sporty cruiser fit for a voyaging couple or family.
The 51 features a modern plumb bow with which to maximize sailing length, as well as aft chines meant to help the yacht grip the water underway. Also like other modern sailing yachts, the racing-style cockpit features both the dual-helm layout and a central entertaining table for the guests. The keel comes in two different L-shapes, one that draws 5‘8“ and the other 7‘5“. A bow thruster, something not on most sailboats like the 51, is included for ease of manuverability while under power.
The accommodations are spacious and three different interior layouts exist: a two-cabin version with two heads with storage and utility rooms, a three-cabin version with three en suite heads, and a two-cabin version with a master skipper cabin and three heads.
If you’re looking for a modern sailing yacht, the 51 looks to carry many of the brand’s most popular features into 2018. The Jeanneau 51 is arriving at the docks of local dealer Marine Servicenter this month just in time for the Seattle Boat Show. Check out marinesc.com for more details and contact them for pricing.
