Gaul Culley and her team are getting excited. The boating community is embracing the Seattle Water Sports Kenmore Hydroplane Cup (aka The Sammamish Slough Race Revival) in a major way. The onshore communities at large at the north end of Lake Washington are engaged and invested.
The event actually kicks off tonight with the Hydro Happy Hour and Photo Exhibition. Details below. Culley is hoping to attract enthusiasts and former participants to share their stories.
Basically, it’s a chance to get in on the ground floor of what looks to be a very exciting weekend of being on the water with more than a nod to this area’s great racing history.
