Learn the ins and outs of on-water safety at this month’s First Aid at Sea workshop. Hosted by Washington Sea Grant, this U.S. Coast Guard-Approved workshop will cover everything from CPR, patient assessment, hypothermia and cold-water response, to shock and trauma, near drowning, burns and fractures, choking and patient immobilization, and first aid kits.
The University of Washington-based Washington Sea Grant provides research, outreach, and education services statewide. This class will be held on Friday, April 5, from 0900 hours to 1700 hours at the Northwest Maritime Center. Cost is $100 with a $50 discount for commercial fishermen.
