Northwest Yachting is an independently owned and operated monthly publication that was founded in 1987 to chronicle the Pacific Northwest boating experience. Our goal is to entertain, educate and inspire readers, while also showcasing the latest boats, the most innovative equipment and electronics, and Puget Sound’s best marinas and services.

With a circulation of over 25,000 and an estimated readership of 53,500, Northwest Yachting is the West Coast’s largest, most widely distributed and read recreational boating magazine. Based on the magazine’s content and target audience, Northwest Yachting has the largest affluent readership of any other local publication.

Northwest Yachting serves a diverse reader base drawn from all corners of the West Coast boating scene, with the majority of our readers concentrated in the Puget Sound region. With a demographic split of roughly seventy-five percent power and twenty-five percent sail, we strive to produce editorial content that’s relevant to all readers, including adventure cruising features, inspiring destination pieces, and new-boat and equipment sections.
