Exceptionally built, maintained, and updated, this unique 54-footer available from Denison Yachting is more than ready for fall cruising.

After 14 years on the water, this Offshore Pilothouse—one of only a handful of 54s to be built by the company—has had only two owners, who have painstakingly maintained the yacht and kept her updated with the latest technology and amenities. Since it’s 2009 launch, the Sierra Fox has added a new Barrett Enclosures flybridge enclosure, wireless yacht controller and a new Dell XPR laptop computer, received top-of-the-line audio/visual and Pepwave Wi-Fi upgrades, and replaced all ship batteries with Lifeline AGMs.
Entering from the stern, one can see the cockpit is built for outdoor entertainment, with teak decking, a Magma BBQ grille, two teak folding chairs, a separate fillet table, and a custom factory swim step for easy access. To reduce clutter, the BBQ and the chairs can also be stowed in a lazarette. A set of aft electronic engine controls can also be found to starboard, including bow and stern thrusters and a rudder angle indicator for docking assistance.
Inside the sliding aft doors, the wood-lined interior showcases a recent soft-goods refit by Jonathan Quinn Barnett of JQB designs in both the salon and guest cabins. To port in the salon, a U-shaped sofa wraps around an hi-lo wooden table opposite an entertainment system with a Toshiba 32” Smart TV and two free-standing chairs to starboard. Just forward of the salon, the galley features more rich wood paneling, Corian countertops, and updated appliances, including a Fisher Paykel dishwasher, a Broan trash compactor, a Seaward 220V oven, a Sharp microwave, a Kenyon four-burner glass cook-top, and a Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer.
Up three steps from the galley, the pilothouse features another settee and table combo aft of the helm chairs. The helm dash features Nauticomp display screens, a full suite of Furuno navigation equipment, and a Simrad AP-28 Autopilot. Outside the pilothouse, a walk-around deck provides partially covered access from bow to stern.
Interior stairs lead to the flybridge, which has a duplicate helm configuration, featuring a safety support at the center of the radar arch. Aft of the electric upper-helm chairs, more socializing space is provided with two tables, a Raritan SS icemaker, an Isotherm refrigerator, and an L-shaped settee, featuring curved cushions covered with a striking blue-and-white striped fabric. On the aft half of the flybridge deck, a 2009 Nautica 12.5′ center-console RIB is secured, powered by a Yamaha 50-hp outboard and launchable with a Steelhead ES1000 crane.
Belowdecks, a curved staircase leads to the custom-designed staterooms. The Art Deco inspired curves in the cabin paneling can be seen in both staterooms, each equipped with en suite heads and openable portholes for light and ventilation. The VIP stateroom, located forward, features a queen-size island berth, while the larger owner’s stateroom is situated aft.
The yacht’s twin CAT C12 diesel engines produce 1,410 hp, giving the Sierra Fox a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots.
