Cut through the chop with finesse in the stylish and sporty Blackfin 272 Center Console available for fishing fun from Irwin Yachts Sales.
It’s been called a “battlewagon on the water,” but ruggedness is only part of the charm of the stylish new Blackfin 272CC. Recently seen in a stunning light gray colorway at the Seattle Boats Afloat show in late April, the new Blackfin debuted for Irwin Yachts is one of the best-riding center console boats in its class, powered by twin Mercury 300-horsepower Verado outboards. While fishing trips are the typical use for the 272CC, there are enough touches of elegance to make the boat suitable for day cruising.
The boat provides plenty of seating, with bow and cockpit coaming bolsters, removable forward-facing bow backrests, a foldaway transom bench seat, helm seats, and a forward-facing console seat with flip-up armrests. The U-shaped bow seating area includes comfortable cushions for guests atop ample storage compartments. A Fusion Apollo Series sound system comes standard, along with satellite-ready AM/FM Bluetooth. For added bling at parties, Blackfin’s premium stereo upgrade package feature six JL speakers, two subwoofers, a five-channel amplifier, and LED speaker lights.
Standard amenities include a pressurized transom shower and a head with a pull-out sprayer. Optional packages include a cockpit table with Sea Dek inlay, a bow filler casting platform, electric reels hookups, and six hardtop rod holders.
The helm boasts a suite of Garmin Electronics navigation equipment, such as a GPS/Chartplotter-8612 and 315VHF, with options for a B60 or B175 Transducer, and a GMR 18 xHD Radome. Standard equipment includes autopilot, compass, joystick docking capability, tilt power-assisted steering, a digital engine monitoring system, a dual 12V outlet with USB, an MP3 adapter, and a foldaway elevated helm platform. A tempered glass windshield with wipers helps protect skippers from sea spray on their way to the next fishing hole.
With fishing excursions as the main draw for Blackfin watercraft, the 272CC is loaded with equipment for today’s angler, such as a see-through livewell, a transom with a bait-prep cutting board lid, a wash-down faucet, a fiberglass cockpit liner, two storage drawers, a slide-out tackle tray, and 54 gallons of insulated, in-floor fish boxes. Most important of all, a YETI Tundra cooler and 11 drink holders can be used to provide brewed refreshments for thirsty crews waiting for the next nibble.
