The cast iron cooking surface is a durable material that maximizes radiant heat transfer to your food. Eureka! pre-seasons the Gonzo Grill’s cook surfaces, and repeated use seasons the cast iron over time. Reverse the griddle top and it becomes a grill surface.
Remove it and use cookware to boil or sauté on the recessed nickel-plated steel grate. A steel lid with vents controls heat and smoke. The burner is said to produce 10,000 BTU/h for your culinary needs and the Gonzo Grill is said to have excellent simmer control. Cleanup is easy; wipe out the removable, dishwasher-safe drip tray. There’s an integrated grill scraper to prevent build-up on the grill or griddle surfaces. Just hand wash the cast iron grill part with water.
The Gonzo Grill has built-in expansion capability with the JetLink Output Port, should your group need more than one grill or Jetboil Stove. Use a propane canister or tank; the Gonzo Grill has a rotary ignition feature. The Gonzo Grill is 11 inches high and 14 inches in diameter; it weighs a bit over 14 lb.
