Sometimes you just want a lean, mean, fishing machine, and the KingFisher line of aluminum boats tend to fit the bill nicely. Enter the 2018 KingFisher 3025 Offshore, a trailerable option for PNW anglers.
Right off the bat, one notices the twin Yamaha 200-horsepower, four-stroke DEC motors. These two motors can be controlled from either the front helm, located in the cabin, or rear helm, located in the cockpit. An additional Yamaha 9.9-horsepower four-stroke engine is also mounted off the transom and can be controlled from the rear helm when needed.
The 3025 has two feature anglers should love: a big cabin and a huge working deck. The oversized fish lockers with commercial diaphragm pump outs and cutting board with fish rail are just a few examples of what the 3025 offers. The cabin has that classic Pacific Northwest forward-attack slant that shouts “Fish on!” while the interior has ample headroom, a decent-sized galley to starboard, foldable dinette to port, and a V-berth forward by the helm. In fact, the woodwork detailing is quite nice and a cut above what one might expect, and it’s easy to imagine a comfortable overnight cruise aboard.
