The new 2017 Beneteau Swift Trawler 44 is here! The Pacific Northwest is fond of its trawlers, and this mid-sized, French-designed yacht has an emphasis on comfort, stability, and convenience.
The interior is spacious and features many of the comforts of home, including generous sofa-style seating in the salon. Stowage space is cleverly hidden in just about every nook and cranny. The galley is fully equipped with refrigerator, microwave oven, 110-volt icemaker, dishwasher, three-burner stove, and more. Two large staterooms with two complementary heads with showers means nobody will be roughing it during extended cruising.
She’s powered by two Volvo Penta D4 300 horsepower diesel engines. Thanks to the semi-displacement hull design, the manufacturer boasts a cruise speed of 14 to 18 knots with a fuel consumption of 17.5 gallons of fuel per hour. They go on to claim that when the 44 is open throttle at 25 knots, she still gets a mile to the gallon.
